5 Free Items for Expectant Parents

Everyone loves a good freebie, right? Well, you will be happy to know you can receive a variety of free items now you’re set to welcome a little boy or girl into the world. So, if you want to stock up on nappies, baby wipes, bodysuits or Sudocrem, here are five free items for expectant parents.

Emma’s Diary Gift Pack

Emma’s Diary is not only a superb site for tracking your baby’s important milestones and receiving dependable pregnancy advice, but they also provide expectant mums with four free gift packs, which are exclusive to Emma’s Diary members.

The Mum-to-be gift pack is available during your first trimester and you can pick it up at either Argos or Boots. Once you reach week 27, you can then get your hands on the Bump to Baby gift pack and, finally, as soon as you hit 32 weeks, you can claim the Labour Information gift pack. There is also a New Family gift pack available, which you can receive once your baby is born.

The Bounty Bumper Mum-to-Be Pack

Bounty provides two Bumper Mum-to-be packs, which will vary depending on the supermarket you choose to claim it from. For example, the items will vary depending on whether you choose to pick up a pack from Asda, Tesco or Boots.

However, the packs will typically include:

  • Try before you buy products and samples (such as nappies, babies wipes, etc.)
  • Money off vouchers for the supermarket
  • Bounty’s Baby Product Guide

If in doubt, review Bounty’s website for more pack information. You are also free to pick up a pack once you are 13 weeks pregnant.

Free Produce and Infant Formula

If you are on benefits during pregnancy, you could be eligible to receive free produce, such as fruit, vegetables, milk and vitamins, as well as infant formula, if required. The free produce is also available for parents who have a child under four-years-old, and they can support your baby’s development.

Bookstart Baby Pack

If you live in England, you will receive a free Bookstart Baby pack from your health visitor, which they should hand to you within your child’s first year. The books are gifted for free by BookTrust, which is the largest children’s reading charity in the UK. If you have welcomed a child into the world and are yet to receive the pack, ask your health visitor or local library.

C&G Baby Club

If you would like to get your hands on free goodies, a five-step weaning plan and a free toy cow, you should sign-up to C&G Baby Club, which is free to join. In addition to the free products, they are committed to helping you navigate your way through pregnancy, which is why they will send regular tips and advice to your email. However, you must join before you are 30 weeks pregnant to receive the freebies.

You also are free to ask for advice and support at your midwife appointment, who will be more than happy to help.
