Plan Your Meals to Stop Food Waste

A lack of meal planning could lead to you throwing a significant amount of food in the bin each week. Rather than throwing away perfectly good chicken breasts or wasting sandwich meat, create a weekly meal plan.

If you fail to check use-by dates when in the store, you could buy a substantial amount of food you won’t be able to use after a few days. Rather than placing fresh meat, dairy products, fruit and vegetables in the bin, look at the use-by date before you buy and review the items in your fridge each day to prioritise ingredients. 

Correctly Store Food 

Improper food storage can lead to you unnecessarily throwing meat, fruit, vegetables, cheese, and other items away. To ensure high-quality items don’t end up in the rubbish bin, you must find out how to effectively store every item and stop food waste.

For example, it might surprise you to learn that the following items should never be stored in a refrigerator:
